Messiah Complex

Us humans are extraordinary creatures. Some say we're simple. While we are the opposite. We like to rant, and scream. We kill to get what we want. We assert dominance. We do anything to prove somebody wrong, even when it's not neccesary. It's bad, but to us, it doesn't matter.

There's a condition, called the Messiah Complex. It is a mental situation where one believes that he is destined to save people, either in a relegious manner or in other ways. It's a popular thing. Mainly because of certain people correlated to it.

One of the most renowned self-proclaimed Messiah was Sabbetai Tzevi. He was a Jew, who was told by a preacher that according to signs, he was a Messiah. He went to Palestine and Cairo, and then back to Jerusalem. He was then told by a 20 year old disciple, that Sabbetai would lead a victorious war to salvation, and the disciple would help him as much as he could. Sabbetai gained massive amounts of followers, but he was captured, and threatened that he'd be tortured. He became Muslim. His followers however, thought that this was his final goal as Messiah, and they could also achieve the same by staying 'in' the folds of Judaism. 349 years after Sabbetai's demise, his followers still exist today, mostly in Turkey.

Even today there may exist thousands of people who call themselves the reincarnation of Jesus. The one I researched is A.J (Alan John) Miller. He is a living walking man, who believes he is Jesus of Nazareth. His message is called the Divine Truth. It even has a website! He also claims that since he is Jesus, he narrated the teachings to James E. Padgett, which he compiled into a book, The Padgett Messages. This book, Padgett claimed, he had written with divine help. Specifically, help from spiritually strong spirits, from the spirit world. AJ Miller claims, that after his death, at the start of the 1st century, he began his spirit life. That stayed on for 1900 years, according to him, and then he came back to Earth when he had gained enough wisdom, through 'reincarnation'. His message speaks about God's perspective of things, and it's teachings are said to be 'logical' or 'scientific'.

There are really controversial figures out there. People talk about them, fear them, love them, and also get influenced by them. There are people who have power. There are people who don't have power. The weak. The opressed. The misguided...
