Conspiracies

Since the beginning, we had beliefs. Something had to be believed in. Maybe, we just couldn't live without a sense of hope. Maybe the belief carried us on. It joined communities., and allowed us to co-operate. Beliefs, however, are not always bound to be true, are they? A false belief, though can also be believed in, until it is proven false. How does man falsen a belief, you may ask. Well, a man needs ample evidence, yes. But that will not be enough. A belief is followed by many, and is often followed for a long time. It is like a dynasty, slowly cooking, and rising. Breaking the cycle needs guts and courage. You can't just casually tell a pair of lions that the laser they're playing with is actually a .375 H&H Magnum rifle aimed at them. They won't believe you, so they will kill you so you don't play with their thoughts again. You come back to them, in an alternate dimension, and bring strong evidence. Now, you might have a chance. Because you have both courage and proof to back up your theory. Then, they will probably start to believe in your theory. They will have another purpose. To believe in your theory. It will become one of their many beliefs. Just like us humans have many beliefs...

Some beliefs are strange. It is unsure whether they're true or not. They are conspiracies. Theories people believe in, perhaps because they wanna be different from others, or genuinely believe in them. Now, some conspiracies actually send your brain into a deadlock. They make you wonder, and ponder. One reason for this could be their outright absurdness. Or sometimes, how one simply cannot explain them. For example, there's the conspiracy that begs the question that, how come all the major global conflicts (Russia-Ukraine, India-Pakistan, and Iran-Israel) have emerged suddenly, after the COVID pandemic? Well, that's just straight-forward innit? If you dig up some conflicts before the epidemic, you're gonna find tons. There's the 2014 Gaza-Israel war. There's the ongoing Syrian civil war. The War on Terror is also an ongoing global operation to eliminate terrorism after the 2001 September attacks. See, that wasn't so hard.

Alright, but that's not all. There's other theories. One of the most famous ones is the Fermi Paradox. You've definitely heard of it. It suggests that the universe, with it's growing vastness, must have a habitable planet, because the environment on Earth is not that rare ( as the universe is really big, and there can be many planets like ours). Consequently, this means, that there is a chance that life may be somewhere in the universe. Hiding away in a galaxy. But, knowing the time that's passed after the Big Bang, the life that exists, should have atleast developed some kind of transport mechanism. If so, where are they?

That is the Fermi Paradox. If they exist, why aren't they here? Or where are the signs? Or maybe, it's the opposite. We are truly alone in this universe. There is only Earth for life to strive in. This one is kinda sad. And terrifying.

And, of course we have to address the elephant in the room. The Bigfoot and the Urban Legends.

Now, obviously, you might say, OMG you can't be serious. But, hear me out. Some insane people with crazy things to talk about, often know what they're talking about. Afterall, they are in their heads more than you are. Bigfoots and legends weren't created by the insane, though.

Now, proving a Bigfoot false is hard, unless you say, 'Prove it exists then!'. Urban legends are mishaps with people and ocassionaly, folklore. Sewer alligators are a real thing tho, and oh my, there's that one pic... Charlie No Face was also a real guy, with facial disfiguration. The Loch Ness monster is a scottish folktale, it also has multiple twins, like Loch Morar monster aka Morag. And there's no official sighting, except a single blurry black n white picture spread throughout the internet.

There's the Illuminati. Which perhaps, to me, is the most intriguing. It defines the idea, that the whole world is controlled by a super secret large scale organisation called the 'Illuminati'. Or that's what we call it. It may be something else entirely. Organisations like BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street are the top shareholders of literally every brand you can think of. Netflix? BlackRock owns 30,898,926 shares of it. Amazon? Yep, BlackRock has shares of that too. Isn't it concerning? No, its not. BlackRock is an investment company, that holds the shareholders' assets, and does not own the assets itself. It's own contribution in the company's is small. It works to manage the assets. So no, BlackRock is not the Illuminati. And the Illuminati is still a mystery.

Conspiracies. Ah, they're fun. They're a fun way to escape the actual reality of the world. Sort of like movies and books. How long will humanity survive with such comforts? One day it will have to return to the real world. Scary thing is, it's our mind that comes up with this stuff. What if we are stuck in our minds? Forever? In an attempt to entertain ourselves and others, we come up with weird stories that grow and spread to either become beliefs or lies. Perhaps that's why we are one of the best species on the planet. We can share beliefs and act as communities, fight wars against people who don't have that belief, we can win. In the end, maybe it's all for the better...
